Bob Cranshaw, Jimmy Owens, Bernard Purdie, Benny Powell, Carline Ray, Rufus Reid, Wycliffe Gordon, Junior Mance, David Berger, Patience Higgins, Dave Liebman, Maria Schneider, Arturo O’Farrill…do these people sound like “weepers” to you?

In fact, they are all prominent, hard working jazz musicians who simply want what’s rightfully theirs–and the NY State tax break (that will pay for their pension) was legislation sponsored by the clubs themselves–over three years ago!

We simply want the clubs to do what they said they would do in 2006.

Your comment shows a decided lack of sympathy for these musicians, and a certain ignorance of the subject at hand.

The Leicht comment is fake and the petition sounds like a great idea.

God,getting any gin mill to do right will be a handful.

The actual Bruno did a profile recently and cites Dave Liebman as one of his core teachers.

Oh I have. The perp is some nut who calls himself Rab Hines after an obscure character in a Scottish Novel.

He runs a pirate music site on blogspot and has ‘issues’. He spammed Jazz.com, Riff Tides and Howard’s site but then bothered me..big mistake.

I did forensic investigations on him, documented the story at my blog and made all the spam victims very happy.

I’ll link list you and you are welcome to do a piece about yourselves in Brilliant Corners. Bob Blumenthal has known me for decades.
