To: New York’s Jazz Clubs including Birdland, The Blue Note, Iridium, Jazz Standard, and the Village Vanguard:

We the undersigned urge you, the club owners, to work with the union to rectify the years of injustice that have deprived countless jazz musicians of retirement security that  musicians in many other fields enjoy. We call on the club owners to join in discussions with AFM Local 802 over minimum scale wages, pension, recording protection and handling of grievances in order to reach an amicable agreement on these issues.
